What if you could live in a state of unconditional love all the time? If you could love people not because they fill your needs or because they love you, but because you’re connected to a state of pure love within yourself?

In this episode of Real Women, Real Wisdom, I am joined by NY Times bestselling author, Marci Shimoff.

Marci has inspired millions of people around the world and is dedicated to helping people live more empowered and joy-filled lives.

Next Episode is already SO MUCH FUN !

My next episode is already so much fun. I am in a creative whirlwind and I attribute it to letting go.
Learning to let go is a lifetime study. We will always have situations arise that challenge and strengthen our ability to enjoy life NOW and let go of the outcome of our desires.

Letting go is an act of self love. If you really love something, enjoy it in the present moment and let go of the outcome. Say to yourself "I love that I don't have to worry about 'it' because it is all happening the way it needs to. Yay!!" See what happens when you can say that and believe it.

I am having fun with the journey to fulfill my desires because I realized that FUN is like a spiritual barometer of sorts. Think about it....FUN. What happens when you have FUN? You are living the lesson of letting go.

So, with a creative project such as my webseries, the only way to have what I want in life, is to have fun with it NOW. Yes, there are desires and goals with my webseries, but putting my attention and concern and worry on if it will happen, when it will happen, how it will happen, only BLOCKS and SLOWS the fulfillment of those goals and desires. Who wants that?

So, until my next episode is released, here is a little gem I hope you enjoy as much as I do. (hint: inspiration for next episode).

Episode 3: How to pretend you know what's going on at work

Episode 3 NEERJA

I didn't have the courage when I was younger to tell my parents "I am an actor/artist and that is what I want to do with my life". Instead, I did have courage to tell my parents "I will not be a doctor". And when they said that I had to be an engineer instead, I said OK. Even though I had no interest or desire to be an engineer....but an engineer I did become.

My first engineering job was a disaster that lasted a few years. Yes, I have a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Thank goodness, I also had a boyfriend who was a technical wizard who saved my butt at work every day!!

I want to leave you with this quote from a great book I am reading now. It is from Deepak Chopra's book "Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire".

"And when you realize that the intentions and desires that arise in you are the very intentions of the Universe, you can relinquish your desire for control and let the miraculous life your were born to lead unfold in all its unimaginable magnificence."

Perhaps if I had known this when I was young, I would have stood up for myself with my parents more so. Now that I am a parent, I can see that all my parents wanted for me was to be happy.

Well Mom, with that Private Benjamin-esque career in engineering I had, I now have a webseries that is so much fun to make. I am happy!

Thanks Mom and Dad!

Peace and Love to you all,

Neerja

Episode 2 How to Impress a Man with Classic Rock Trivia

This series is a great vehicle for all my favorite passions. One is particular is Classic Rock. Beatles, Pink Floyd, Who, Zep, Faces, Elton, Stones, so many more. While the other kids were having fun in the playground, I was off by myself, often pretending my uncles - John, Paul, George, and Ringo - were coming to visit. I pretended I was the 5th Beatle, on stage singing my heart out. The big rock in the school yard by the big tree was my stage. My parents said the Beatles liked India, so I thought since I was Indian, and their biggest fan, they would naturally be coming to visit me soon. I didn't understand things like, they broke up years ago and the band didn't exist anymore.  That's stuff for grown ups.

The series started off as a half hour pilot now turned into a webseries. The web is a FUN place to show my series. I love the creative freedom ! New episodes and bonus videos are coming.

NEERJA - A series about a woman daring to go for her dreams (behind her mother's back).

When will Neerja be able to say "My Mother is not the boss of me!"

Stay tuned :)

Wishing you peace, love and enjoyment of my series.

Van Morrison

After seeing Scorcese's The Last Waltz, I am on a big Van Morrison kick. I have been daydreaming of starring in a movie that was not only, solely Van Morrison on the soundtrack, but also written by Van the Man.

With my show, NEERJA, I hope to merge my music influences with the actual script. Much of what you see is based on real life experiences with songs that captured the moment to me best. Those songs inspired the script.

Listening to Van Morrison's music, I am delighted by the way Van captures the feelings and emotions and paints the picture so simply but perfectly. It strikes me that this man should write a love story to be filmed and soundtrack all in his hands.

I love these moments of inspiration. I reminds me of why I am creating this show. Because CREATING it brings me joy. Especially with Van Morrison on my iPod. :)
